Nanaushika McGee is an alumnus from CCMCC’s Vocational Nurse Program. She was a student in our inaugural class who took on the challenge of nursing school as a working mom and CNA. From the very first application interview Nanaushika’s desire to be an LVN was apparent. She demonstrated humility, grace and a desire to serve others. She worked hard through our accelerated program, soaking up everything she could in her pursuit to serve at a higher level. Despite the many responsibilities and challenges of life, she consistently performed well and was awarded a Student Spotlight Certificate for her character and commitment to improving her NCLEX preparation scores. It all paid off this past November when she successfully passed the NCLEX exam on the first try. She is now realizing her dream, working as an LVN. Most importantly, her patients are lucky to have such a compassionate nurse at their side.
